The launch of the "Qiantang Cup" Chinese Proficiency Competition for Global Youth is designed to create a sustainable platform for young people around the world to engage with China through a blend of language learning and lived cultural experience. The initiative positions international youth not just as participants, but as storytellers — offering global audiences an outward-looking view of China’s social energy, cultural creativity and contemporary momentum, while strengthening people-to-people exchange and cross-cultural understanding.

As the organiser, CECCI will leverage its international platform resources and cross-cultural project experience. Through initiatives such as organising cultural visits and implementing talent development programmes, it will continue to deepen the competition's impact, striving to establish the "Qiantang Cup" as a renowned brand for humanistic exchange connecting Hangzhou and even Zhejiang with youth worldwide.
