On 23rd April 2025, the Qiantang Branch of the China Zhi Gong Party organised a “Party Members Enter Campus” event at Hangzhou Polytechnic University, under the theme of enhancing the communication and influence of Chinese civilisation. The initiative aimed to actively promote Chinese language and culture, and was attended by nearly 20 international students from Hangzhou Polytechnic University.
During the activity, Bryson Xue, a Party member of the Qiantang Branch, joined students from Russia, Vietnam, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries in reading and appreciating classical Chinese poetry. The international students gave impassioned recitations of famous works such as Su Shi’s “Calming the Waves” (Ding Feng Bo) and Liu Zongyuan’s “River Snow” (Jiang Xue), while Xue performed a stirring rendition of Li Bai’s “Invatation to Wine” (Jiang Jin Jiu), vividly expressing the rhythmic beauty and heroic spirit of traditional Chinese verse. The atmosphere was warm and engaging.
During the session, Lu Kanda, Party member and Chairman of Fulida Holding Group, also held an in-depth discussion with faculty and students on the innovative development path of “Cultural Gene + Intelligent Technology + Fashion Industry”, exploring how cultural heritage and modern creativity can be integrated in education and industry.
This activity not only served as an active response to the national policy on promoting the use of standard Chinese language and script but also represented a pragmatic initiative by the China Zhi Gong Party to leverage its unique strengths and contribute to cultural dissemination. By adopting an interactive and culturally immersive approach, the activity helped Chinese language and culture take deeper root among international students, thereby contributing to mutual learning among civilisations and enhancing the global influence of Chinese culture through the efforts of the Zhi Gong Party.
The Qiantang Branch of the China Zhi Gong Party has always regarded its overseas Chinese and international outreach as a core focus of Party branch development. As 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the China Zhi Gong Party, the branch will continue to centre its work on this historic milestone, launching a series of Chinese cultural promotion activities abroad through district–university collaboration and other innovative forms, further strengthening cross-cultural understanding and exchange.
